The Luring is a psychological thriller about a man, Garrett, who tries to recover a lost memory that took place during his tenth birthday at his family's vacation home in Vermont. Unbeknownst to him, something unspeakable happened and as a result Garrett was found in a non-responsive state by his parents, which subsequently resulted in an extended stay in an institution. Psychiatrists call it dissociative amnesia - a loss of memory due to a traumatic event - but Garrett will soon learn some memories are best kept forgotten.

1878年（明治11年(🔤)）(💗)。在(zài )明治维新之后(🔇)，为(🙋)了处理日本(běn )国内(🥦)(nè(🥢)i )的士族叛乱这类(lèi )犯(🌿)罪者，将他(tā )们大(dà )部(🕹)分都送到了监(jiān )狱里(😞)(lǐ )，但是逃(tá(⛽)o )狱事件时(🔖)有发生。于(yú(🏡) )是政(zhèng )府(👹)就在滋贺县(🥋)的琵琶湖(🎑)里浮着(zhe )的巨(✈)(jù )树中建造了绝对(duì(🎄) )不(🕦)可能逃狱的(de )监狱(yù(🚼) )「(📎)狱门处」，将(jiāng )重犯(🕒)(fà(🎑)n )全都送了(le )进去(qù )。而(⌚)负(💮)责最后阶(jiē )段护(hù(🔷) )送(🌳)的「渡(dù )桥者」一(⏲)职(🖲)则是由湖(hú )边「昙(🏾)神(🕦)社」的「昙(tán )之三兄(🤝)弟」担(dān )任。福士饰演(🚵)昙家的(de )长男——昙天(🚊)(tiān )火。
